so i am home. feels weird almost like i never left. a
anyways after being up in the north of england with jean and jim on the 8th natasha, ryan, tyson and i set off on 8 hour boat ride from liverpool to dublin. we arrived just in time to see a rainbow light up the sky. welcome to ireland.
dublin is a beautiful city and i wish i could have spent more time there. we saw the kilminhaim gaol, which housed many of the revolutionists in the fight for independence. i went to a birthday party for some girl i had not met until then and had a craic(fun) time dancing the night away. we ate in a diner after searching endlessley for a pub with good food and saw the book of kells. i didnt want to come home.
but now i am here and another chapter is finished. i thank God everyday for the amazing people he led me to, the experiences i had and the blessing of having him to guide me in my every step. i wont be living out of a backpack anymore and dinner is always free now. i just wonder where my feet will take me next :)

i have seen london and all its sights (literally everything) in one day, thank you jacky and andrew!
i made my way to windsor castle, yes the queen was there, but she didnt make an appearance for my camera.
i saw oxford and the pub where c.s. lewis and j.r.r. tolkien met to discuss ideas.
i walked around the stonehenge and felt the wind whip over the salsibury plain. i saw bath and then roman (guess what??) baths.
i had a cream tea, which you have to try on your next trip to england.
and i took a train to preston.
liverpool, all BEATLES, strawberry field, penny lane, john and paul's houses. the cavern club and matthew street. amazing!
today i was in the lake district and watched the clouds pass over the sunshine of an amazing view. i also ate some fresh gingerbread and irish cream fudge. then i got to Capernwray Hall. Natasha and I loved it. we met up with lori and tanisha and marie, who are there at school and ryan and tyson, who were visiting. it was wonderful to see them.
tomorrow i take a 7 hour ferry ride over to dublin, ireland. finally, IRELAND!!
only 4 more sleeps and i am home. i can't believe it! i think i am ready to be home.

so rio vida has finished. a lot of tears and hugs and goodbyes later nikki and i were on our way to seville. we boarded a train from alicante to madrid. half way through the ride though they got us off the train and put us on buses to madrid since the railway was under construction. we got dropped off at some train station, or at least we think that is what it was. a very nice train attendant loaded us onto another train that we found out was the metro and told us "tres paradas". in other words at the third stop get off. so we did and we were in some grungy dark train station. we walked around until we found a ticket booth and bought passes for the train to seville which left in 1 and a half from then. we got on our train which was classical music-automatic doors-giant bathroom-high speed machine, very nice. we made it to seville in 2 and a half hours and then took a taxi to our hostel. well not right to the doorstep. so we wandered for about a minute when some man asked us if we were looking for oasis hostel. he walked us right to the door and we haven't seen him since. today we are taking a bus to faro and meeting up with gill and then tomorrow i see my mama. everything went so smoothly coming here, when there was so much oppurtunity for it to go wrong. God provides! miss you my rio vida loves.

oh so much has happened since we last talked my dear.
i have been to barcelona and back and most important i have less then a month here to go, which is very sad.
barcelona is an amazing city, with amazing things to see.
we went to las ramblas many times and saw many street performers and one very intense tap dancer. the first day we spent wandering around the city. we saw the sangrada familia, a cathedral of carved stone the stretched up into the sky. we headed further into the city and found the arc de triumph. and no you aren't crazy, there is one in france, but there is also one in spain. we shopped and sat in little squares and just experienced spanish culture as well as we could. that night we headed back out to the streets and found the pier. feet over the meditteranean sea and watching the lights of a spanish harbour, something you need to do in your life time.
the next day we walked to guell park, which is where the architect gaudi lived. gaudi was into the mosaic architecture and had a plaza built up on stilts. it was beyond anything i had ever seen. musicians everywhere, and it was gorgeous. that night we went to see a performance were the fountain was timed to music and it was all lit up. only a few of us went and then we had to sprint to the opera. it was all different tango songs written by different writters. it was deffinitley a cultural experience even if it was a little boring. i stayed out late that night wandering the city rather aimlessly since it was our last night. the next morning we headed home back on the 5 hour train ride. and that was barcelona, i could have stayed much longer.
and now i will be leaving this place and seeing the rest of the world. i am not ready to leave but it is coming faster then i want it to. and one more thing i am going to IRELAND!!! EEKK!!
love you all,

i bought honeycomb in guadalest today, a perfect valentines day. the boys are giving us dinner on the terrace under the stars tonight, how could it get any better. guadalest is a mountain town with a castle and amazing views and shops. it is quiet and warm and the bell in the tower rings. beautiful. i cant believe that it is february already, my time is halfway done. i suntanned the other day, and did actually get a tan. i can say that i am officially not missing the cold of home. two weeks ago the lectures were on praise and worship and this past week two guys came from britain to speak on james and judges. last night was family night again. my family is from alicante, the dad is studying languages at the moment so speaks english very well, but the wife doesnt know any english. we have gone to their house twice now and had dessert and chatted. we have our travel weekend planned which is this coming weekend. 18 of us from the school are going to barcelona all on the same train and all in the same hostel should be a crazy good time. we are going to a spanish opera well we are there too, i am excited to see how it goes. and dont worry all of you mothers and aunts and other people interested i havent found a spanish boy to marry.....yet. haha. love you all and am deffinitley thinking about you. have to find a dress to wear tonight!

so i have been here for almost two weeks. things are starting to pick up and move faster. at the moment our courses are on nehemiah and leadership. we have started our outreach groups, which we will have to prepare a whole church service for. now looking at the weather, haha.... we had some crazy winds here the last little while, you might have even heard about it. it collapsed a soccer arena in barcelona killing the people inside. nothing as drastic as that happened here. a palm tree fell over, a stone wall collapsed and cemented signs were ripped up. we went out into the town of el campello the other night for gelato ice cream and a couple of days ago we went into the city of alicante and did some shopping. other then that life is just peaceful and swell. couldnt ask for a nicer place. it makes you stop and realize the beauty in Gods creation when you see the waves pounding on the shore and winds so strong it whips the sand like a moving blanket across the shore. unBelieVable and UnContainAble. i love it here

hello my darlings
im writting from a hostel in alicante. we arrived safley into heathrow airport at around 12 on the 15th from there we took a bus to gatwick and then to the hotel. we were exhausted and didnt move much after that other then to get food. but with the time change sleep didnt last very long and i was wide awake at 2 30 in the morning. We caught the 7 am flight from gatwick to alicante in the morning. We got a bus to our hostel in the center of alicante. We wandered aimlessley down a couple of streets with our rather large duffle bags, but we found it alright. We headed to the shopping district after that and then we found out that a couple of people from capernwray are staying at the same hostel. so we met up with them after dinner tonight. tomorrow we are getting picked up at 8 am to be taken to rio vida, and the biggest thing i am going to be grateful for is not having to take my oversize overweight bag around on wheelie suitcase that flips every time you hit a curb. goodnight my dears.
